Our specialty lies in resin-bound driveways, also known as resin bonded driveways, which are a popular choice due to their durability, flexibility, and aesthetic appeal. We use a high-quality clear resin binder to coat the aggregate particles prior to laying, ensuring that the aggregate is completely coated and providing a totally bound surface. This results in a more durable and low-maintenance surface that is permeable, allowing water to freely drain through the surface.

We also offer block paved paths and driveways, which are a commonly used decorative method of creating a pavement or hardstanding. The main benefit of bricks over other materials is that individual bricks can later be lifted up and replaced, allowing for remedial work to be carried out under the surface of the paving without leaving a lasting mark. Our team uses a porous form of brick formed by mixing small stone hardcore, dyes, cement, and sand and other materials, allowing for the use of recycled materials in the construction of the paving bricks.

Why Resin-Bound Driveways?

Resin-bound paving is a mixture of aggregate stones and resin used to pave footpaths, driveways, etc. It is a flexible surfacing material, so is resistant to cracking. The system is mixed on site and cold applied, ensuring a durable surface that requires less maintenance. It needs to be swept or power washed at least twice a year, to avoid the buildup of detritus and prevent the growth of moss or algae. Resin bound paving is also a fully permeable paving solution which meets the requirements of Sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) standards, helping to prevent standing water and largely eliminates surface water runoff.

Block paving, also known as brick paving, is a popular choice due to its versatility, durability, and aesthetic appeal. It is a commonly used decorative method of creating a pavement or hardstanding, and is typically made of concrete or clay, though other composite materials are also used. The biggest difference is the way they set hard ready for use. A clay brick has to be fired in a kiln to bake the brick hard. A concrete brick has to be allowed to set. The concrete paving bricks are a porous form of brick formed by mixing small stone hardcore, dyes, cement, and sand and other materials in various amounts. Many block paving manufacturing methods are now allowing the use of recycled materials in the construction of the paving bricks such as crushed glass and crushed old building rubble.
