At York Sawmill, we are a family-run business that has been established for over 50 years, providing high-quality timber products to the general public and private sector. Our spacious wood yard is located on the old Acaster Airfield in Acaster Malbis, just outside York, and is filled with a wide range of timber products for you to view. Our friendly staff are always happy to help you find the perfect product for your needs, and we offer a cutting service for our timber stock.
Our Services
We take pride in offering a wide range of high-quality timber products, including treated timber fencing, decking, and landscaping products. We also manufacture heavy-duty fence panels, trellising, and gates, and stock fence posts and a variety of treated timber. Additionally, we sell logs in varied quantities for collection or local delivery. If you have a specific design in mind, our team is happy to work with you to create a bespoke solution that meets your requirements.
Timber Stock
Our timber stock includes a variety of sizes of treated timber, including posts, rails, boards, decking boards, and garden sleepers. We also stock European Larch and Oak logs, which can be milled to customer specifications in a sawn or PSE finish. Our timber is ideal for outdoor structures, fencing, and gate posts, and we offer a cutting service for our timber stock.
Fencing and Gates
We produce high-quality fencing panels to the highest standard, with a wide range of shapes and sizes available. Our heavy-duty panels are pressure-treated and can be made to order to specific sizes required. We also offer bespoke panel designs, including concave or convex tops. During busy periods, there may be a lead time for certain ranges.
Logs
We have an extensive stock of hardwood and firewood, with approximately 200 tonnes available. We offer sawn and split logs in bulk bags, as well as large crates of logs ready for collection on-site. We also have nets of kindling available for collection.
