Each tile is lovingly prepared by hand to your specific requirements. We have had the pleasure of working with esteemed clients such as the BBC, Studio Reed, Nando's, Marks and Spencer, Wagamamma, Fired Earth, Strata Tiles, and Parkside Ceramics. We have also received commissions from EPR Architects and ZMMA Architects for luxury projects in London and the rest of the UK. As a small, independent business and a member of the FSB, we are committed to supporting the local economy in Surrey. We source all materials and equipment as close to the local area as possible. Meet the Team

At Froyle Tiles, we are a close-knit team with a shared passion for ceramics. Our team consists of skilled craftsmen who are dedicated to producing high-quality, handmade tiles.

Richard Miller, our Managing Director, has been passionate about ceramics for many years. After completing an MA in Ceramics in 2003, he began making domestic ware and teaching ceramics in and around Surrey. His love for traditional methods was further enhanced by a trip to Japan, where he honed his wood firing skills by building Anagama kilns. Richard's enthusiasm for ceramics has made him a popular teacher and volunteer at events such as Art in Action and Art in Clay. Since taking over Froyle Tiles in 2006, he has continued the traditional product range and extended our bespoke commissions.

Ziad Kadri joined us in 2008 and has been an invaluable part of the team ever since. He graduated with a Degree in Ceramics from Surrey Institute of Art and Design in 2001. Ziad's Photoshop and CAD skills have helped integrate modern processes into our traditional ethos. His own creative ceramics draw on his digital media work and are heavily influenced by the built environment.

Erik Swenson, the newest member of our team, started at Froyle Tiles in 2010. Having completed a degree in ceramics in Washington State, Erik moved to the UK in late 2009. He previously worked in a number of studios in the US and was responsible for producing a wide variety of domestic ware. Erik's own work is inspired by his passion for traditional glaze chemistry.

Dotty Miller, our pottery dog, has been working at Froyle Tiles for three years. She loves nothing more than toasting in front of a long kiln cycle. Her favourite part of the job is being surrounded by ceramics and the people who love them.
