Murray Gibson Services Ltd is a leading provider of electrical and refrigeration engineers, operating throughout Cumbria, the North of England, and South West Scotland. From our Carlisle base, we specialise in air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, mechanical engineering, and testing and inspection. Our History
Murray Gibson, our founder and current chairman of the Carlisle Branch of the Electrical Contractors Association, began his career with a six-year electrical apprenticeship with Rickerby Ltd of Carlisle. He went on to further his education in various fields, including electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, welding, and automotive refinishing. After 12 years of experience, Murray established his own company in 1993. Our headquarters are located at Stephenson Road, Durranhill, Carlisle.

Electrical Contractors and Engineers
We provide 24-hour emergency breakdown services for industrial, commercial, agricultural, and domestic requirements. Our services include electrical contractors and engineers for new installations, rewires, breakdowns, and maintenance for all electrical equipment up to 11,000 volts.
We also design and install electrical installations for grain dryer plants, livestock housing, rearing, and processing, workshops, offices, office complexes, and houses. Our portfolio includes poultry and porcine requirements, from feeding and heating to weight and profitability control.
Air Conditioning
We supply and install fixed and mobile air-conditioning for conservatories, houses, garages, shops, convenience stores, factories, offices, dental surgeries, doctors, opticians, hospitals, and licensed premises. Our team can also provide portable temporary solutions when necessary.
Automotive Air Conditioning
We supply and install, service, and repair air-conditioning for all types and makes of vehicles, including cars and commercial vehicles. We also provide transport refrigeration, chills, and freezers.
Cab Air Conditioning Service and Maintenance
We supply and install, service, and repair air-conditioning for all types and makes of plant to keep operators comfortable.
Heat Pumps
We can supply and install air-conditioning units that can heat up buildings in winter and cool them down in summer. We also offer domestic heat pump installation.
