Where your garden begins.

Belton Garden Centre is a family-run business, proudly owned by the Elkington family, who have farmed in Lincolnshire for many generations. We are committed to offering traditional values and ensuring that every visitor has an exceptional experience. Our centre is built in the former formal walled gardens of Belton House, which dates back to the mid 1600s. The walled garden area was established in the 1800s, making it a unique and historic location.

The 16ft walls that surround our garden centre are hollow, providing a cavity heating system to supply warmth to the plants grown on the wall sides. Originally, plants such as apricots, peaches, and melons were grown here, making the owners of Belton House renowned for their fine fruit displays. It's reported that during the hey-day of the House, over 25 gardeners were employed on the site of Belton Garden Centre.

Today, we continue to thrive as a business, offering a wide range of services including a Gardener's Shop, Indoor Living, Wild Birds/Pets, Outdoor Plants, House Plants, Outdoor Living, Containers & Pots, Ornaments & Stoneware, and a Coffee Shop. Our Coffee Shop is open from 9am every day, offering a variety of refreshments to start your day off right.

We are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and are always looking for talented individuals to join our team. If you're enthusiastic about gardening or hospitality, we encourage you to explore our job opportunities.
