Who we are?

McLeod + Aitken is a private consultancy company, owned by the directors, with a rich history of over 60 years in the construction industry. Our core services of Quantity Surveying and Project Management have evolved to provide full end-to-end construction consultancy advice. Our clients are individually supported by the Directors to ensure quality of service and speed of delivery. We have a strong legacy in providing services to private, public and third sector clients, each of which are valued by us equally.

Our team consists of over 70 professionals with additional skills in law, procurement, BIM and other fields, to support the diverse nature of any client's needs. We provide individual or holistic project solutions and services with in-house QS, PM Programme Management and Principal Designer Capability. Our staff's breadth of skills enables us to challenge construction methods, programmes, and costs, and continually innovate to deliver excellent service for our clients.

As a company, we aim to challenge across the board, from construction methods and programmes to costs. We use these skills to look holistically at what went well, what can be done better, quicker, and at a lower cost. This helps us adapt as a company, reacting pragmatically as each project develops.

Company Highlights

At McLeod + Aitken, we are proud of our achievements and focus on quality, sustainability and safety in all our services. We have received the EcoVadis Sustainability Silver Medal, which represents our sustainability efforts, encompassing the aspects of the environment, labour, and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

We operate to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and SSIP standards, and use an array of database and modelling software throughout our working day. We have a large, flexible resource pool, ensuring we can always cope with project demands. Our strong base in Aberdeen has now led to 6 offices in the UK and 2 in Australia, all managed by our own grown staff.

Our people are our strength, and we are proud to have a team of experienced, pragmatic leaders who set us apart from our peers. Our Directors are appointed as account leads and manage the project, the resource and results expected by our clients.
