Our journey began over 40 years ago, when our founder, Daryl Ford, started his apprenticeship as a blacksmith. With a passion for his craft, Daryl went on to become a master blacksmith, honing his skills in the ancient tradition of blacksmithing.

Curtain Pole Specialists

We specialise in made-to-measure curtain hanging solutions in wrought iron, stainless steel, oak, and walnut. Our expertise lies in designing and crafting bespoke curtain poles that meet the unique needs of our customers. With a focus on quality, durability, and timeless design, we ensure that every product that leaves our workshop is a testament to our commitment to excellence.

Our Designs and Craftsmanship

Our products are handmade in Devon, using traditional artisan skills passed down through generations of blacksmiths. Our Story Continued

After years of honing his skills, Daryl started making curtain poles in 1993. From 1994 to 2005, he supplied bespoke curtain poles to the John Lewis Partnership. In 1996, he invented the passing ring and bracket system, allowing a single pair of curtains to be drawn around a bay window. In 2003, he patented his award-winning flexible bend, part of a system that enables customers to make their own bay window pole at home.

He has continued to refine his skills, experimenting with new designs and techniques while maintaining his commitment to quality and craftsmanship. His wife, Judy, handles administrative tasks and assists with packaging. Together, they share a passion for their work and dedication to excellence.
