Our Heritage

Woodbase Joiners has a rich history that spans over three decades. Established in 1987 by Richard Blackman and Simon Bartlett, the company has built a reputation for combining high-quality natural materials with innovative design to create superior-quality joinery products that last a lifetime. Brought together by their love of craftsmanship in 1977, Richard and Simon formed the company with the aim of combining expert workmanship and high standards of customer care.

Our Craft

They are passionate about their craft and are committed to passing on their traditional skills to others. Woodbase Joiners offers numerous apprenticeships and continually trains its staff to ensure that the highest standards of quality and customer service are maintained.

Our Promise

At Woodbase Joiners, we pride ourselves on providing a complete design, manufacturing, and installation service from our workshop in Westfield, near Hastings in East Sussex. Our promise to our customers is to use only the best materials, sourced responsibly from sustainable timber stock with proven chains of custody. We take great care to minimize our environmental impact and all our wood shavings from the workshop are recycled and used to make fuel pellets.

Staircases

We pride ourselves on supplying top-quality traditional and modern staircases from oak and other timbers. We produce everything from feature staircases for grand entrance halls to complex smaller flights for loft conversions and everything in between. The best and most suitable materials are used throughout the production process.

We manufacture all our staircases to the highest standards and never cut corners or skimp on materials. We can carry out a full site survey, followed by design and production of CAD drawings so you can see your staircase as it will appear before it goes into production.

By combining traditional methods with the latest technology, we are able to offer the finest solid timber staircases.

Windows

Woodbase Joiners specialise in all styles of traditional casement, sliding sash, and high-performance stormproof windows. We produce a diverse range of individually designed windows tailor-made by experienced craftsmen to meet specific requirements. All windows can be installed by our highly experienced team and supplied primed, undercoated, or decorated.

Doors

We offer bespoke door designs and manufacturing services, including fire doors, which meet the highest standards of safety and security. Our door designs can be tailored to meet specific requirements, and we can supply and install doors throughout Sussex, Kent, and Surrey.

Architectural

We offer bespoke architectural joinery services, creating unique and functional designs that meet specific project requirements. Our experienced craftsmen can work closely with architects and designers to bring their visions to life.
