Our experts will remove excess paint from the running surfaces, fit weather-pile brushes into the top and meeting rails, and reinforce joints to extend the life of your original window.

Restoration Work: We carry out a range of restoration work on your existing sash windows, making them look like new. Our skilled craftsmen will repair, replace, and refurbish any damaged or worn-out parts to restore your windows to their original glory.

Repair of Existing Joinery: If there is an area of decayed timber, we can splice in new timber, treat, and fill areas of decay using new filler technologies to extend the life of your original window.

Replacement of Timber Sills: When the timber sill on a box sash window has become decayed, we will replace it with a new hardwood sill, finished with aluminium primer to preserve its life.

Sash Cord Replacement: We replace traditional cotton-waxed sash cords and ensure that the sashes are correctly counter-balanced for optimal performance.

Replacement of Upper and Lower Sashes and Box Frame: If a timber sash is decayed, we can replace it with a new single or double-glazed sash, planed on site to fit exactly to the existing box frame.

Window Furniture Replacement: We supply and fit all types of window furniture, including D handles, lifters, Brighton-pattern or fitch catches, and security stops.

Secondary Double-Glazing: As an alternative to fitting double-glazed sashes, you may want to consider getting secondary double-glazing, which we can supply and fit.

At Angel Sash Windows, we understand the importance of proper preparation and ensuring a smooth project completion. To facilitate this, please note the following:

• Parking: If there is restricted parking outside your home, please ensure that you have arranged sufficient parking vouchers for the duration of the job.
• Insurance: We hold full public liability insurance.
• Guarantee: All new joinery and associated work is guaranteed for 5 years. All restoration work has a two-year guarantee.
• VAT: We do not charge VAT.
• Preparation prior to job starting: Please ensure that furniture is cleared from the immediate area where the work is being carried out, and curtains, blinds, etc., are removed.
• Removal of old materials: We will remove and dispose of all old frames, sashes, and other general debris.
• Quotes: Quotes will be emailed or posted within 5 working days of the survey being carried out.
• Deposit: A deposit of 25% or the cost of joinery will be required before work starts.
• Interim payments: For projects of more than one week, interim payments will be required to the value of the work carried out.
• Final invoices: All final invoices must be settled on completion of the project.
