Overall Experience
The reviewer, Tina Fountain, had a disappointing experience with her kitchen fitting, which was carried out in February. The process took longer than expected, with multiple days needed for snagging, and the fitter caused damage to her brand new floor.
Issues with Fitting
The fitter drilled through the floor in several places, causing significant damage. Despite promises to resolve the issue, it remains unfixed even in June. The reviewer has had to take matters into her own hands, claiming against IKEA in small claims court.
Lack of Communication
The reviewer has experienced poor communication from the company, with no response to her attempts to contact them. When she did finally manage to speak to someone, they claimed that the damage was caused by trainers (footwear), which is an unacceptable excuse.
Outcome
While most of the issues were eventually corrected, the reviewer would not recommend the company due to their failure to follow through on their commitments. The experience has been painful and has ruined the excitement of having a new kitchen that she had saved hard for.
