Simon Smith and Michael Brooke Architects is a medium-sized architectural practice with over 40 years of experience in residential, heritage, and commercial architecture. Founded in 1984, we have undertaken a wide variety of projects across the UK and beyond. Our primary focus is on high-quality residential refurbishment and new-build projects for private clients and developers.
Our History
Simon and Michael met at Oxford Brookes University whilst studying for their Part II in Architecture. They quickly formed a strong friendship and shared vision for their futures in architecture. In 1983, Simon Smith and Michael Brooke Architects Ltd was born, with a small lease on an empty shop in Battersea. The practice rapidly grew, and we moved to our current premises in Clapham Old Town in 1988.
Today, our practice has become a family business, with four of Simon and Michael's children working alongside their fathers. Over the years, we have worked on over 2,500 projects, including residential renovations, new-build projects, and commercial developments. We have a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects that meet our clients' needs.
