Kris Turnbull Studios: A Mixed Bag of Experiences
Disappointing Service and Attitude
One reviewer, Jonathan Soye, had a highly disappointing experience with Kris Turnbull Studios (KTS). Despite initial excitement, the reviewer experienced a series of delays and setbacks, with items ordered in January 2023 still not received 10 months later. The reviewer found the company unwilling to take accountability, instead blaming suppliers, transport companies, and even fate.
When the reviewer requested a refund for the undelivered items, the company's attitude shifted, and they were subjected to a condescending phone call, where they were told that "in the grand scheme of life 10 months is not that long" and that their living room would be left unfinished. The reviewer was particularly upset by the latter comment, which they felt was unpleasant and uncalled for.
Additionally, the reviewer experienced issues with incorrect sales invoices, including being charged twice for items and not receiving credits for returned or undelivered goods. Although a refund was eventually provided, it initially excluded significant shipping costs, which had to be corrected.
A Lush but Fancy Showroom with Some Quirks
On the other hand, reviewer Tara M. had a more neutral experience, rating the studio 3 stars. They were impressed by the showroom's luxurious and fancy atmosphere, located within an old church. The ground floor displays were impressive, and the upstairs office space had a lovely balcony.
However, Tara M. noted some peculiarities, such as the "no photos" signs on some displays, and the venue being quite cold inside. Parking outside was also difficult. Interestingly, some of the furniture on display was also used in the adjacent Vestry cafe, suggesting a possible connection between the two establishments.
