Welcome to Jon Ash Garden Design, a professional garden design business based in Bristol. I'm Jon Ash, a passionate garden designer and plant enthusiast with over a decade of experience in horticulture, garden design, and landscape architecture. As a keen allotmenteer and naturalist, I take great pleasure in incorporating edible plants, wildlife-encouraging species, and sustainable methods into my designs.

As a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture (MCIHort) and a Consultant Member of The Gardeners Guild, I am highly qualified and experienced in my field. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of designing urban spaces, public areas, show gardens, and even shopping centers. My expertise extends to working with schools, housing developments, and commercial properties.

However, it's the domestic gardens that truly bring me joy. There's something special about transforming a blank canvas into a beautiful and functional outdoor space that brings people together. Whether it's designing a new planting scheme or rejuvenating an existing garden, I take pride in creating bespoke designs that cater to my clients' unique needs and preferences.

We can also supply quality plants from local nurseries, often at a more reasonable cost than traditional garden centers.

Design Packages

We offer two design packages to suit your needs and budget:

BASIC DESIGN (300)

Perfect for small gardens or those who intend to self-build, this package includes:

• Initial consultation and site visit
• Clear layout design with on-plan material specification and plant palette
• Guidance on construction and installation

FULL PACKAGE (600)

Ideal for medium to large gardens, this package includes everything from the basic design package, plus:

• Full site survey (topographical if needed)
• Construction drawings
• Full specification, planting plan, and schedule
• Build cost estimates
• Tender preparation
• Project management and quality control

Maintenance

If you prefer to outsource your garden maintenance, we offer regular services to ensure your garden stays healthy and beautiful. Our maintenance package includes:
