The Process

At Lowther's Lofts, we take pride in our commitment to our clients' satisfaction. Our process is designed to guarantee a stress-free experience, from the initial consultation to the final completion. We understand the importance of privacy and will work from the outside-in, using scaffolding to minimize the impact on your daily routine.

Our process is divided into six stages, each carefully planned to ensure a seamless transition:

• Stage 1: Scaffold erection, material delivery, and preparation of access
• Stage 2: Installation of steel work and inspection by the building inspector
• Stage 3: Construction of dormer, boarding out, and external tiling
• Stage 4: Insulation, window installation, and plaster-boarding
• Stage 5: Installation of staircase, first fix wiring and plumbing, and plaster-boarding
• Stage 6: Second fix skirting, architrave, doors, and finishing touches

Planning & Building Regulations

Since the changes to planning law in October 2008, most loft conversions no longer require planning permission. However, building regulation approval is mandatory for all conversions. We will handle the application process on your behalf, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Our team will work closely with you to ensure that your project meets all necessary standards.
