Garage Door & Lock Co. has been established in Formby for over 30 years, with one primary aim in mind: to provide the best customer service possible. As a family-run business, we have always prioritised good old-fashioned quality service to all our customers. Our base is in Formby, Merseyside, but we cover a significant portion of the North West area.

We take pride in the fact that we have never employed sub-contractors or casual labour. Our skilled fitters are employed directly by us, ensuring that every job is completed to the highest standards.

Our Services

At Garage Door & Lock Company Formby, we understand that it's not always necessary to replace your garage door. All garage doors contain consumable parts that can be replaced, such as springs, side cables, side rollers, spindles, lift arms, locks, lock cylinders, handles, lock cables, brackets, side tracks, motor units, circuit boards, and handsets. Even frames can be replaced without needing to replace your door, saving you a lot of unnecessary expense.

We regularly repair doors that are over 40 years old - so don't think an old door is ready for the scrap! If we cannot fix your door, there will be no charge for us calling out. We will, if you wish, measure up for a new door and give you a price to replace it. Then it's up to you.

All of our cables are made using a jig and hydraulic press at our workshop. They are not made on site using a pair of mole grips, which results in a cowboy job. As per manufacturer instructions, we replace cables in pairs. So rest assured, your door will be repaired by a professional who cares about doing the job right. All our work is guaranteed.
