Welcome to DK Architectural Services Ltd, a small architectural practice based in South Tyneside. Our story began in 2011, with a vision to deliver innovative design, effective problem solving, and a meticulous attention to quality and detail. • Preparation of drawings as existing from a full survey of the property
• Preparation of sketch and detailed designs suitable for submission for Planning Application
• Submission of planning application, including Design and Access Statement and completion of all associated documentation
• Negotiations, as necessary with the planning authority
• Preparation of detailed drawings and specifications suitable for Building Regulation approval
• Application and completion of all associated documentation and forms
• Preparation of working drawings and details for tendering purposes
• Obtaining tenders from contractors
• Preparation of Contract Documentation
• Site supervision and Contract Administration
• Certification and Final Account

We also offer consultancy services to other professionals, including technical input and detailed design, production information, site supervision, and inspections.

Our Expertise

Our principal, Dene King, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He has worked on a variety of projects, primarily private houses and extensions, as both principal designer and specialist consultant to other architectural practices.

Dene has a proven track record of delivering innovative design solutions, effective problem solving, and a meticulous attention to quality and detail. His passion for his work is reflected in the outcome of every project he undertakes.

Partnership with South Tyneside Council

DKAS is partnered with South Tyneside Council under the LABC Partner Authority Scheme. This partnership allows us to have a one-to-one working relationship with our preferred local authority, providing a single point of contact for all Building Control work in England and Wales. This partnership also offers invaluable local and familiar contacts, unique access to the planning department, the highways engineers, and the local fire service, ensuring simplified correspondence and faster resolution of queries.
