Established in 1970, Wood & Mott LTD is an esteemed British manufacturer of bespoke furniture, renowned for its unique and exquisite pieces. With decades of experience and a deep-seated passion for craftsmanship, we collaborate with interior designers, architects, and private clients to bring their visions to life.

Our Story

The journey began with Mr. John Wood and Mr. Ernest Mott, who started in a small cellar below a News Agents in Colchester, Essex. Their vision was to restore antique furniture and create a thriving business. Through innovative designs and traditional techniques, Wood & Mott gradually expanded, establishing themselves as a leading manufacturer across Europe, North America, and the Middle East.

The Process

We believe in the meticulous craftsmanship that defines British manufacturing. Each piece is meticulously hand-crafted in our North Essex workshop, led by a dedicated team of skilled artisans. From initial concept discussions to detailed design development and meticulous production, we collaborate closely with our clients every step of the way.

Services

Manufacturer: We translate your ideas into reality, utilizing the latest technologies and traditional expertise to execute your vision with precision and meticulous attention to detail. We provide samples and working models for your approval before production begins.

CAD Design Development: Our skilled team utilizes advanced 3D modeling and visualization software to bring your furniture or cabinetry to life. This allows you to visualize scale, proportion, and finishes before production commences.

Project Management: For larger projects, a dedicated Project Manager will be assigned to ensure seamless communication, site surveys, and meticulous progress tracking.

Trade Services: Beyond manufacturing, we offer a range of services to fellow tradespeople. From veneer processing and CNC machining to spray finishing and spindle molding, we can assist with various aspects of your own projects.
