At Paul Davey Cabinet Makers, we are dedicated to producing exquisite furniture for designers and architects from working drawings. Our team of skilled craftsmen, led by Paul Davey, use their extensive technical experience in materials and construction to offer a development service that takes clients from concept through to completion. This includes finished construction drawings and individually designed pieces that reflect our commitment to excellence in craftsmanship.

As an apprentice, Paul achieved distinction grade throughout his City and Guilds course, winning the "Best end of Year Project" award two years running. His exceptional talent was further recognised in the national skills competition "Skill Build" in 1993 and 1994, where he won two gold medals. These achievements led him to the International Skill Olympics in Lyon in 1995, where he secured the silver medal. After establishing his workshop in 1997, Paul has assembled a team of highly skilled craftsmen who share his dedication to quality and service.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, enabling us to produce a wide variety of work with high efficiency. We can create curved, shaped, and flat veneered panels, as well as curved moulded timber sections. Our advanced spraying facility allows us to undertake specialized finishes such as polyurethane lacquer, acid catalyst lacquer, pre-catalyst lacquer, and traditional finishes like French polish. We have also established relationships with a range of high-quality, specialist suppliers offering services such as upholstery, gilding, metalwork, wood carving, turning, granite, stone, and glass.

Furniture Gallery

Although we specialise in one-off pieces, we also undertake small batch runs. Most of our furniture is free-standing, but we also provide site fitting of wardrobes, kitchens, panelled rooms, libraries, dressing rooms, etc., with the same standards and commitment as in the workshop environment. We thrive on the challenge that specialist furniture demands, ensuring that each piece is meticulously crafted to meet our clients' unique requirements.
