Gardens & Grounds is a gardening service that has been providing unsurpassable gardening services in and around the Lake District since 2001. Our aim is to help clients achieve their gardening aspirations by providing a reliable service of professional horticultural skills. We offer a complete garden maintenance programme, including lawn care, weeding, planting, hedge trimming, tree pruning, shrub management, and more. With an extensive client base of private individuals, management companies, and holiday cottage letting agents, we care for a wide portfolio of gardens in Cumbria, from the compact to the grand.

Our Story

Gardens & Grounds was founded by Dr. Richard Woodburn, who has a first-class honours degree from the University of Wales and is a Doctor of Biology from the University of Oxford. He has worked for several prestigious institutions before pursuing his passion for hands-on horticulture in the Lake District.
