We have a large new shape 4-metre Mercedes Sprinter van that allows us to handle both single items and full van loads with ease.

Armadillo Self Storage

We have recently started working alongside Armadillo Self Storage, a nationwide firm with a local storage facility in Stockton. Armadillo provides secure storage at reasonable rates, with all access controlled and monitored by CCTV for added security. They also provide packing materials and padlocks at a reduced rate. Armadillo is situated just behind Wicks on Portrack Lane Industrial Estate and is only a few minutes from the A66 and the A19.

Safety Precautions

When moving, it's crucial to use suitable boxes that are strong enough to hold their contents. Make sure you tape the top and bottom of the boxes and not just fold the flaps inside, as the contents may fall out when moved. Never make boxes too heavy to lift or move. Mark boxes as per room, and keep sharp items separate to avoid any damage or possible injury when moving them.

For fridges and freezers, ensure they are empty and defrosted totally to save water from running out and damaging any other items in the van. Similarly, please make sure cookers are empty, and drain any other items, such as lawnmowers, of petrol and oil to avoid leakage and damage to your goods or our van.

Gas and Electric Cookers

Have a Corgi registered plumber or electrician available to disconnect your cooker and to refit it at the other end.

Plan Ahead!

Pack an essentials box with items you may want quickly, such as tea, coffee, milk, sugar, mugs, a kettle, and maybe some snacks, like biscuits, to tide you over whilst you start to get things put straight. Keep any important documents to hand, such as your driving licence and passport, should you need them.
