Edina Technical Company Ltd, (ETC) was formed in 1990 as a business to business division of Edina lock and key company of Stockbridge, now based in Canonmills in Edinburgh. The reason for this formation was to ensure a dedicated service for our commercial and domestic customers who require a reliable and cost-effective locksmithing service. The success of this locksmithing service has encouraged us to extend the range of security products and services we can offer to our commercial and domestic clients.
Our Services
We offer a comprehensive range of security services and products, including locksmith services, electronic access control systems, high-security locks, door automation, wireless systems, maritime systems, signage, and safes. Our locksmith services include fast response emergency lock opening, locks changed, upgraded and repaired, key cutting, double glazed door locks, garage shed and gate locks, glass and aluminium door locks, Yale and Chubb locks, door entry locking, digital keypad locks, safes, access control, antique furniture opened, padlocks, door closers, fire exit locking, electric releases, and electronic keypads.
Our electronic access control systems provide intelligent security solutions for domestic and commercial use, offering electronic smart switches as an alternative to traditional keys. We also provide high-security locking systems, including Abloy electric locks, Abloy disc lock pro key systems, Abloy protec key systems, Chubb biaxial key systems, and Paxton access control systems.
Maritime Systems
We offer wireless security systems for maritime vessels, providing protection against break-ins and theft. Our wireless security systems are battery-powered, have a 5-year life, and comply with EN50131-1 Grade 2 standards. They can be simple systems with sensor sounders and remote fobs for activation or deactivation or comprehensive systems with smoke detection, technical probes, and GSM communication.
Safes
We supply and install a wide range of safes for business and domestic applications, including insurance-graded safes with cash ratings from 1,000 to 150,000. Our safe range includes free-standing safes, gun safes, wall safes, floor safes, laptop storage safes, key cabinets, hotel safes, fingerprint access safes, deposit safes, furniture safes, fire and data safes. We provide a safe installation service covering the United Kingdom, with site surveys available on request.
