Notably, his contributions included the revitalisation of Widnes town centre, a project that showcased his ability to breathe new life into urban spaces.

Driven by a desire to expand his horizons, Neil embarked on a collaboration with his father's architectural practice, Braithwaite Associates, based in County Durham. This partnership introduced him to a new realm of architectural challenges, encompassing industrial manufacturing facilities, commercial residential developments, and projects within sensitive conservation areas. His involvement with Braithwaite Associates also led to the opportunity to work with a national nursing care company, where he gained invaluable expertise in designing extensions and renovations for the healthcare sector.
