Mundo Architecture

At Mundo Architecture & Design Studio, we are passionate about creating spaces that not only reflect our clients' personalities but also foster a harmonious relationship between nature and humanity. Our story began in London in 1997, when our founders, Jonathan and Agnieszka Pearson, decided to establish their practice. However, they took the bold decision to relocate their base to rural mid Wales in the Brecon Beacons in April 2001.

Our practice is versatile and works in a wide range of different sectors including restaurant interiors, hotel and leisure facilities, and also landscape design. However, we predominantly focus on residential properties. The majority of our projects are located in Wales, with a number of other projects in London, Ireland, Poland, and Belize.

Sustainability has been an integral part of our agenda throughout our careers. This is due to the insight and experience gained whilst working in Belize, Central America in the mid-1990s, finding the balance between nature and humanity. This has been strengthened by working closely with ecology and conservation departments on projects in rural Wales.

Our ethos and interests revolve around creating a flow through spaces, bathing internal spaces in natural light, connecting interiors to the external environment, and designing healthy buildings. We took the decision four years ago to move our office base from the countryside into the town of Brecon. We are currently renovating a Brecon townhouse for our office.

Mundo Architecture is a RIBA Chartered Practice and a member of the Association of Environmental Conscious Building (AECB). We are dedicated to delivering exceptional design solutions that not only meet but exceed our clients' expectations.

Meet Our Team

Agnieszka Pearson, a talented and dedicated professional, moved from Dublin to Kingston University London in 1989 to study Interior Design. After graduating, she returned to Dublin for six months, working in the office of Ross Cahill O'Brien Architects. Agnieszka's passion for the concept design stage of projects, where her creativity comes alive, and her years of experience have made her an expert in practice management. She is also a member of the Royal Institute of Architects in Ireland.

Jonathan Pearson, after leaving school, spent a year in Belize building up an art portfolio painting native birds. He then attended the Falmouth School of Art on an Art and Foundation course, which led him to a degree course at Kingston University, London in Interior Design. Jonathan has design flair and a love of making, designing largely through model making for projects, which has become his signature. He also has a passion for making furniture and is a great presence on building sites, with a keen eye for detail and great knowledge of construction.
