Our Expertise

With over 25 years of combined experience in the profession, our principals, Mark Halliday and Mark West, have worked in both the private and public sectors. They have a deep understanding of the complexities of property and building works, gained through their extensive professional careers. Mark Halliday specializes in computer-aided architectural design, obtaining planning permission, and project coordination, while Mark West specializes in party wall matters, listed buildings, and schemes of repair and maintenance.

CAD & Architectural Design

We provide architectural design services for schemes of new build, alteration, extension, and conversion of all types of property. Our services include the preparation of architectural plans using computer-aided design, obtained planning permission, building regulations approval, and detailing of building works for tender purposes.

Contract Administration & Project Monitoring

We prepare detailed specifications and schedules of works, inviting tenders from reputable building contractors, analyzing and reporting tender submissions, arranging contract documentation, and commencing works. We also value and certify works in progress and at practical completion, agreeing final accounts, and arranging for rectification works.

Party Walls Surveys

We provide services related to the Party Wall Act 1996, including appointed surveyor services in respect of complex deep basement excavations and roof-top developments, as well as more routine matters arising in the extension and alteration of buildings.

Historic Building Consultancy

We offer expert advice and consultancy services for the maintenance, repair, and conservation of historic buildings, including listed buildings and country homes. Our surveyors have a deep understanding of the complexities of these types of properties and can provide informed advice on repair and maintenance.

Dilapidations

Our services include the preparation of schedules of dilapidations, quantifying the extent of disrepair, and calculating the associated costs of works required to bring the property back into good condition.
