Our Services
We offer a wide range of services, including Residential Valuations, Commercial Valuations, Homebuyers Reports, and Building Surveys. Our Residential Valuations are designed to confirm to your lender whether the property represents suitable security for your mortgage. Our Commercial Valuations are undertaken for businesses or individuals acquiring commercial property, and are also used for accounting and tax calculations.
Our Homebuyers Reports are a form of report designed specifically for post-1900 properties, presented in an easy-to-read format with standard headings and written in a non-technical way. This report is less costly and less detailed than a building survey, but will enable you to make a reasoned and informed judgment on whether to proceed, assess whether the price is reasonable, and provide a clear indication of major defects.
Our Building Surveys, often referred to as a "structural survey" or a "full survey, " are a visual survey appropriate to all building types. This report aims to provide maximum confidence and assurance and is the most detailed of our standard reports. It is an in-depth report written in a free text format and tailored to the individual property or client where required.
Our Team
Our team is led by Mr. Stewart Sherman, Dip Surv MRICS, who carries out all of the Surveys for the Company. Mr. Sherman was elected as a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors on 29 November 1996 and was a Valuer with the District Valuer's Office in Birmingham, where he gained a wide range of experience in his field. Mrs. Teresa Griffiths is Mr. Sherman's Personal Assistant and can arrange and advise on the services which Chamberlains can offer.
