Welcome to DNP Architecture and Party Wall Services, a chartered architecture practice based in Frome, Somerset, with over 20 years of experience in providing professional and experienced guidance for building projects. Our practice offers a full architectural design service for building projects, including new build works, extensions, alterations, and refurbishment projects.
Our Services
We provide a comprehensive range of architectural services, including initial sketch feasibility studies, architectural designs, and detailed schedules of work or full design specifications for the tender and construction stages. Our services are designed to ensure that you get professional and experienced guidance for the development of your new build project.
In addition to our architectural services, we also offer Party Wall Services to assist both Building Owners and Adjoining Owners to ensure that work proceeds properly, protecting the rights of both owners. Our Party Wall Services include advising Building Owners at the pre-planning stage on an appropriate course of action to ensure that their proposed works will be compliant with the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. We also offer free initial advice on the options available to you in compliance with the Party Wall Act. Fees are set on a competitive fixed fee basis for further services such as notices to be served, schedules of condition, and awards.

Party Wall Act 1996
The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 sets out the rights and obligations of property owners involved in the building of party structures or their repair and alteration, and also those concerned with excavation carried out within notifiable distances from buildings on adjoining land. The Act sets out procedures for notification of proposed work and the obligatory appointment of surveyors when disputes need to be resolved.
How We Can Help
Our Party Wall Services are designed to provide impartial advice to owners and occupiers to ensure that all parties' rights and responsibilities are understood in compliance with the Party Wall Act. We can act as Party Wall Surveyor for either a building owner or an adjoining owner, or as agreed surveyor for both parties. We provide notices of proposed works, schedules of condition, and awards to enable works to be carried out by a building owner on or next to a shared wall, whilst also protecting the interests of the adjoining owner(s) or occupier(s).
