Established in 1991 by Anthony Owen and Joanne Owen, our company has a rich history that traces back to the practices of Mr. John Benyon FRICS and Captain T E Blois Brooke FRICS. These esteemed professionals managed a range of West Wales estates for over 50 years until their amalgamation into the partnership of Cooke & Arkwright in the early 1980s. Following the sale of Cooke & Arkwright to Lloyds Bank, the business became known as Black Horse, before being taken over by Anthony Owen & Joanne Owen, thus marking the beginning of Owen & Owen in 1991.

In 2015, Lloyd James joined the partnership, bringing with him the expertise of Lloyd James Land & Estate Management. This merger further strengthened our capabilities and allowed us to expand our services to better serve our clients. In April 2019, the partnership became a Limited Company, following the retirement of Anthony and Joanne from the partnership.
