Sam Fletcher Architect is a professional practice based in Kendal, Cumbria, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, sustainable, and environmentally conscious building designs. As a RIBA-registered architect with over 20 years of experience, I, Sam Fletcher, have developed a passion for creating buildings that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also energy-efficient and carefully designed to meet the unique needs of each client.

We take an all-encompassing approach to our projects, considering factors such as setting, landscape, surrounding buildings, budget, timescales, views, aesthetics, preferences, practicalities, and Planning and Building Regulations. Our goal is to create buildings that not only meet but exceed our clients' expectations, while also minimizing their environmental impact.

Services

Our services include designing and developing projects from conception to completion, from obtaining Planning Permission to the final construction and occupation of the building. We also provide expert advice on sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability, ensuring that our designs meet the highest standards of building performance and minimize waste.

Past Projects

We have been involved in a wide range of projects, from barn conversions to new house builds, extensions, and alterations. Some of our notable projects include a barn conversion near Shap, which features a new floor and minimal interventions to retain its original character, and an extension and alteration project in Dalston, Carlisle, which involved the addition of a bedroom, utility room, sun room, larger kitchen and dining area, and improved natural light and ventilation.
