Our Services

We offer a full range of architectural services, from sketch scheme to completion. This includes Land, Building, and Structural surveys, Planning, Feasibility studies, Planning appeals, Project Management, and Building Contract litigation and arbitration. With the assistance of a small group of highly skilled specialist consultants, we can provide an extensive range of services from design stage to completion, tailored to suit the individual needs and aspirations of each client.

Experience and Expertise

The Practice has extensive expertise in timber frame and traditional construction, together with considerable experience in historical and listed buildings work. Our team has been involved in projects across the UK, from Inverness to Cornwall, and has even ventured overseas, working on projects in France, Spain, Portugal, and India.

Our History

The Practice was originally set up by John and his Wife Linda in 1972, following a suggestion by the Senior Partner of F. R. Bates, Son & Price, for whom they both worked at the time. The purpose was to act as the small works section of the main Practice. Over the subsequent years, the Practice expanded and was joined in 1988 by Mr. I. T. Fitzherbert, formerly the Chairman of the O.V. Webb, who brought in further expertise in planning, building, and contract litigation.

Our Projects

We have been involved in numerous projects over the years, including commercial and industrial developments, restaurants and licensed premises, and residential projects. Some of our notable projects include Prestwick Airport, a complex of six aircraft hangars to house Boeing 747 and Lockheed Galaxy C5; Barclays Bank Office Complex, Ty Glas Avenue, Cardiff; Bank Square Chepstow, a redevelopment comprising a 1600 sq.m retail unit, four shop units, and eight luxury apartments; and a 90 bed Nursing Home, Bowling Club, Community Centre, and Craft units in Milestone Road, Carterton.
